You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of the sudden even though you have some place where you can put your stuff that idea of home is gone. You'll see when you move out it just sort of happens one day. One day it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for you kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place.

There IS a lot about Kevin Bacon to be jealous of--his angry punch-dancing, his full head of hair, his moderately famous wife...the list goes on.
I watched the Kevin Bacon movie "Death Sentence" a few days ago. I really enjoyed it and I suppose it inspired the line in the last panel. I know he's not the best actor, nor been in some of the best movies, but when I was a kid, I LOVED Tremors and The Air Up There. So between those two and Death Sentence, my film watcinh life is wrapped up in one big Kevin Bacon sandwich (I think that may have been a pun).
His wife kind of creeps me out...for serious...P.S. I keep leaving you comments, then they disapear...no idea what has happened to them. P.P.S. My husband grew up (and his family still lives) in the town Footloose was filmed. His Grandpa owns several of the buildings used in the movie AND his aunt is in the movie, too. You are sOOOO jealous right now.
p.s. you two should just get married already.
